With profound sadness and deep pain we inform you of the untimely passing of Rabbi Menachem Ahron ben R'Yosef HaKohen Rodal, OBM of Los Angeles, CA. He was 68 years old.
For over 40 years, Rabbi Rodal dedicated his life to chinuch. While teaching basic subjects such as Chumash and Gemara, Rabbi Rodal has also shared his passion for the world of science with hundreds of students, hatching chicken eggs in class, bringing in an item from his prized collection, taking them step-by-step through the process of kashering a lung.
With his vast knowledge, sense of humor and friendly manner, Rabbi Rodal was a hit with adults and children alike. His classes were informative, interesting and hands-on, leaving participants with an indelible appreciation for the miracles of nature we take for granted every day.
Rabbi Rodal is survived by - yibodlu l'chaim tovim - his wife Shterna, and children: Rabbi Mordechai - South Africa, Rabbi Berki - Mt Olympus, CA, Menucha Rochel Loewenthal - Denmark, Rabbi Chezky - Inverray, FL, Mirel Levintansky - Simcha Monica, Ca, Dl Heidingsfeld - Moor Park, CA, Chana Raizel Sossonko - Miami, FL, Rabbi Meir Yitzchok - CH and Rabbi Yossi - Melbourne, Australia, Chaya Mushka Chazan - Crown Heights, and Brocha Esther Rodal - Los Angeles, CA and many grandchildren k"ah.
He is also survived by his siblings, Berel Rodal - Ottawa, Ontario, Rabbi Shmuel Rodal - Italy and Mrs, Chana Raizel Kagan - North Miami Beach, FL.
