On Sunday evening 200 Weston Jews gathered for a unique farbrengen/dinner to mark the 200th yartzeit of the Alter Rebbe, during which the Tanya was printed.

 

Guest speaker Rabbi Shabse Alperin mesmerised the crowd with his facinating stories and inspiring lessons.

 

The attendees were moved to tears as the first pages of the Tanya emerged from the printer and about 1 hour later as the last pages were finally printed and the entire Tanya was complete the crowd broke out into festive singing and dancing.

 

Weston became the 6,123rd place to fulfill the Rebbe's directive to bring the Maayan itself into its midst via printing the Tanya. the excitment was felt by everyone. After the printing was complete, Shliach Rabbi Yisroel Spalter taught Perek Lamed Beis from the newly printed Tanya.
