With sadness and a heavy heart we report the painful loss of R' Shmuel (Sammy) ben R' Yehoshua Eliyahu Rohr, of blessed memory.  R' Sammy was staunch supporter of all the Rebbe's inyonim, the beloved patron of thousands of Shluchim and Lubavitcher mosdos and organizations worldwide, and can truly be called the father of the Shluchim in every respect.

The levaye will take place today, Monday, in New York, with many Shluchim and organization and program directors escorting R' Shmuel on his final journey to Eretz Yisroel for k'vurah on Tuesday morning,  on Har HaZeisim.  The family will sit shiva for a short while at the Continental Hotel in Yerushalayim.

Hundreds of Shluchim from across the globe are expected to fly in for the levaye, headed by the menahalim of Merkos L'Inyonei Chinuch, Rabbonim and Anash.

R' Sammy is survived by his children -yibodlu l'chaim tovim- Mr. George Rohr, Mrs. Lillian Tabacinic and Mrs. Evelyn Katz.
