Chinuch Hora'ah of the Day:
N’shei u’bnos Yisrael set the tone and direct the way in all aspects of Jewish life. They set the tone and direct the way. As the Torah relates, women were the first to take part in the building of the [Mishkan, the] holy place for Hashem’s Shechinah, while they refused to take part in the sin of the golden calf, which represented the very opposite.
Through the proper chinuch in the spirit of Torah, a Jewish girl senses with an inner, divinely-endowed sensitivity what is holy and should be supported, as well as what is harmful and to be distanced from Jewish life.
In our times, when society’s definition of good and bad, as well as light and dark change frequently, it is more crucial than ever before for a bas Yisrael to receive a Torah chinuch al taharas hakodesh, so that she will be able to assume her proper role as akeres habayis. In her hands, to a large measure, lies the future of beis Yisrael.
