 S. New Jersey: Shluchim Provide G-dly Security

In light of vandalism at Jewish cemetery in Philadelphia and a rash of bomb threats to Jewish Community Centers, local rabbis are making sure Jewish homes are protected from harm and hate. On Tuesday, several rabbis visited South Jersey neighborhoods to install mezuzahs on Jewish residents' doors. The parchment scroll essentially brings G-d's protection to everyone inside the home. The rabbis also offered to help replace mezuzahs that are faded from being outside over time ■ more

 Shluchim Respond to JCC Bomb Threat 
With dozens of bomb threats called into Jewish Community Centers and other Jewish institutions around the country, including the JCC in Cherry Hill, Hasidic rabbis in the region are hitting the streets with the “Cherry Hill Mezuzah Campaign,” geared to make sure that every Jewish home in the region has a mezuzah—a sacred handwritten parchment scroll that is mounted on the doorpost ■ The campaign entails offering Jewish residents, who may be unable to afford a mezuzah, a free one for their front door ■ more

Shluchim to the Southeastern region of the US raising children with special needs gathered for three days of relaxation and education in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. The retreat, a project of Yaldei Shluchei HaRebbe, was the ninth of its kind and the fourth for the Southeastern region. This past week, students in Oholei Torah Mesivta enjoyed a day of skiing at Montage Mountain in Pennsylvania. The trip was a culmination of prizes and events for a month long mivtza connected with Yud Shvat.For many bochurim it was a first time opportunity to hit the slopes and pick up the skills. To add a Chassideshe atmosphere and goals to the trip, Bochurim were tasked with finding yidden to put on tefillin, recruits to buy letters in a Sefer Torah ■ more

With sadness we report the passing of baal-menagen R' Eliyohu (Eli) Lipsker, OB"M, of Crown Heights, at age 76, after battling a dread disease. R' Eli taught music and established boys' choirs, and provided the nigunim at the rallies in the Rebbe's presence.
